Gratitude List
Do we see the dust on the shelf or the flowers in the corner? Perspective can make a gloomy day or one that has hope. Gratitude is a discipline. Like exercise, I don’t always feel like it. But what happens when I choose to find something that I’m grateful for in a situation that I hate? Suddenly that situation doesn’t control me. My resilience increases, I make better decisions, I’m nicer to those around me. Circumstances, you can’t take me down, not with gratitude on my side. It may not change the circumstances, but it changes my perspective.
